BARREL OF THE SEASON

I've never been an athlete to comment on my waves, much less get bragging in what I did or left undone in my training but this Pipeline barrel was really special for me.
Why? Because what I went through inside there, only i know :).
Surely one of the best Pipe barrels of my life. I'll try to tell how it happened.
Pipeline, January, morning sickness sea in the morning, only bodyboarders in the water and waves around 8 gums +.
From the 9 am the wind began to blow offshore and the sea to improve every moment when I decided to give one more stroke to the outside waiting for the second reef waves that was beginning to break.
After more than 20 minutes waiting for a wave I decided to go on the next one regardless .
When the wall came and I told to myself, if Chris Won don´t go (he was more into priority) I'll, and was what happened.
He paddled and pulled and I did not think twice, went for it.
When i took off I had to go full blast because what I saw was a closing wall and if I would have any chance to get out there would have to go all in.
When I pulled in, I could not know if I was going to come out of there or not . I felt a pressure on the barrel like never before (My WR Epoxy bent lengthwise )
After having held the worst i expected the lip to hit right on my head at the end, because all i saw was white water in there.
Yet, The barrel spit me out and the beach went crazy (and I felt great). I even claimed , something I rarely do. But this one i have to..

Yeah!! brother!!! Saw this sequence in the latest Riptide magazine. Was in my view, easily the best barrel of the Hawaiian winter. Epic stuff!
